Captain Maher Azer Hakim is the Chairman and chief executive officer of Nanmar SHIPPING & TRADING COMPANY
He graduated from Arab Academy for Science &Technology and Maritime Transport, Navigation Department in 1985. He worked in the maritime sector from 1985 till 1997 over all ranks (2nd mate and chief mate). He then was promoted to the post of Master.
NanMar was founded by captain Maher as a ship brokering and chartering firm in all the Egyptian ports and Mediterranean Sea ports in 1997.Then in 2004 he took the license of ship agency to expand his business. He is responsible of strategic planning of the firm, distributing the management tasks on the lower levels, and supervises them. He also represents the company in the international matters.
Since its establishment, Nanmar has become one of the best known personnel agencies of its kind. It is a licensed employment agency specializing in placement onboard cruise ships and cargo ships worldwide.
